TEAM Expansion

Supported Since 2018

The Lipic family moved to Louisville, KY in ‘22 where Mark continues his work with Team Expansion in new roles as Field Coordinator and Diaspora Services Consultant. Mark travels to countries to meet with, coach, and shepherd teams currently on the field. He also ministers to refugees in the Louisville area.

Update from Mark:

As a team, we are fasting one day per week, usually on Wednesdays.  This is to focus our prayers and ministry work with Afghans and Somali peoples.  We have a partnership with another organization doing digital strategy work, some know this to be known as "media to movement".  We are currently targeting Afghans who live in 7 zip code areas in metro Louisville with Dari (a major Afghan language) social media ads.  If a person clicks on the ad, the inquiry goes to some people in this other org to talk with online.  If they want someone to meet with and to be discipled, our team gets called in to go, which we are excited for!

I set this partnership up several months ago with this other org, however, we have not been asked to go meet anyone yet.  Please pray for Afghans who are spiritually open and wanting to learn about Jesus and that the digital strategy ads are seen and speak to the hearts of the Afghan people.

We also are starting to do more cookouts.  These will either be at a park or apartment complex at or near to where Afghans live.  We had our first cookout last week and we have another planned on June 23rd.  We went to an apartment complex that had several Pashtun men residing.  It went well.  We will follow up.  Please pray for these men and our future cookouts, home visits that we do regularly, and time spent investing in them and their families.

We have a "local partner", we will refer to him as "A", who we bring with us on a regular basis to do home visits.  He was a powerful witness in Afghanistan before coming to the USA in 2021.  "A" has a wife and 4 kids ages 15, 16, 20 and 21(roughly) who are all non-believers.  This makes me very sad.  We have shared with them, read the Bible with them etc.  Tomorrow, I will be with one of them to help him find a job. I am somewhat baffled as to why the father believes and is such a strong witness, yet the rest of the family doesn't believe.  I have been told that they are not interested in following Isa al Masi because of the dissension they have seen among other Afghan believers and the way their father, A, was persecuted by being beaten multiple times by the Taliban and other things they did to mess with A.  We need extraordinary prayer for God to reach A's wife and 4 kids.

Thank you so much for praying for these needs.  We are forever grateful.

Let’s Pray

  • Pray for their team as they pray & fast for their work with Afghans & Somalis.
  •  Pray for the cookouts they have near  where Afghani & Pashtun people live.
  • Pray for a “local partner” we will call “A”. He is a strong believer who has a powerful testimony from his life in Afghanistan, but his wife & 4 children are unbelievers. They have said they are not interested in believing after they saw the way their father was beaten & persecuted. Pray for God to work in their lives to draw them to Himself.

An Exciting Ministry

Grace is blessed to have been part of God's work through hundreds of missionaries in our 60 year history. We gratefully acknowledge their faithfulness, as well as the sacrifices our global partner families have made in taking the message of salvation through Jesus Christ througout the world. It always has been - and continues to be- a privilege for us to partner together in the Gospel.

Missions has been a part of our DNA from the very beginning!

1964 our first full time missionary was sent.

1966 we hosted our first missions conference.

Presently we support over 40 missionaries near and far. They include church planters, college campus ministries, international ministry, and training / discipling / mobilizing.

Who are our missionaries?

First of all we call our missionaries, "Global Partners". We consider our support of them a partnership, and we take it seriously! We pray for them continually and strive to keep in touch with them so that we can remain involved in their work. Their stories are amazing!

Grace Church Global Partners are young adults just heading out on the mission field. They are couples and families choosing to live in other countries to form relationships so they can share the gospel. They are individuals entrenched on college campuses. They are seasoned workers of God who have spent their whole lives in service to Him to share the love of Jesus and further His Kingdom. And they are people who live and work in their neighborhoods and churches to share the salvation of Jesus Christ in their own countries.

How do we support our missionaries?

No money is used from the operating budget of Grace Church to support our Global Partners.

The financial support for all our Global Partners comes directly from the generous family of Grace Church. Pledges are made in the fall of each year to help the GO Team oversee the yearly budget and make decisions on support.

Are there other ways Grace Church fulfills the command of  Matthew 28:19?                                                 YES! The GO Team supports
