Pioneers
Supported Since 2020
Susan has served on Pioneer’s Church Partnerships Team since 2019. Their goal is to encourage and assist local churches in sending workers for church planting among unreached peoples. They connect with church mission leaders and advocates to help them take the next steps in becoming more intentional and proactive by using resources that enable them to pursue God’s heart for the nations.
Family News | In Joy & Sorrow
- I think most of you will have heard that my beautiful mother-in-law, Carol, went Home to be with her Savior on July 21. She made an indelible mark on all of our lives and we had a wonderful time celebrating her life on September 6. We waited for this date so that Carol's younger sister, Loida, and her husband, Ian, were able to make their way to the U.S. from their home in Australia. Thank you for praying for us, and especially for Mike, Ben's dad, in this time of grief, yet also joy that Carol is with the Lord.
Much to praise God for:
- Whitton & Mara moved back to Normal, IL, in June following a couple years in the Indy area. They both got great new jobs here and both sets of their parents (who all live here in town) are thrilled!
- Sylvia got married to our new son-in-law, Trey Storr, on June 14-- a beautiful day! Sylvia is working and Trey began his final year of MDiv studies in August at Cedarville and they are planning to further train for life and work overseas among the unreached down the road.
- Maren is in the third and last year of her Psychology degree and is applying for master's programs in counseling for next year. She's super busy with school, an internship, and ministry but is excelling!
- Zeke graduated in May and got off to a great start as a freshman studying Business at CU. He's been super busy between classes and running cross country but is pretty much killing it. :)
Let’s Pray
- Pray for our teams of field workers, that they would strive to work well together and function with unity and care for each member. Pray for grace to abound in difficult circumstances and when different perspectives and personalities come together.
- Pray for God to open doors for global workers in many countries where visas are now being withdrawn and denied. Pray for the Church to have great creativity, to see the urgency, and to realize the necessity of being extremely intentional about Christ's mandate to be penetrating the darkest places in order to make disciples of all nations.
